A tiny update

Traffic for Tiny Startups has been growing like crazy. We finally hit 13k monthly unique visitors last week for the first time since launching, and still holding strong above 12k.

A huge thank you to each and every one of you for your continued support.

Over $800k from App Store sales

Adam runs a portfolio of “AI wrapper” apps that’s now made over $802k since 2022, with a big chunk of that within the last year itself.

You can check out some of the apps in his portfolio here. Looks like he’s built 50+ apps and sold over 10. Incredible stuff!

A simple paywall update nearly 3x’d his revenue and his apps now makes between $15k-$20k a week. I wish he’d share some of that secret sauce ;)

Buffer crossed $22.3M ARR

I know Buffer isn’t a “tiny” startup but it’s been incredible to follow their journey. They were some of the earliest examples of the build-in-public movement and have been very transparent with their revenue and growth. Not only did they manage to reverse their decline which started around 2019-2020, but they managed to hit new all time highs. Super impressive.

Lotanna is selling Pray Screen ($112k ARR)

Pray Screen is an interesting app (similar to Opal) but for Christians where you pray to unlock all your apps. And it’s super interesting to see some behind-the-scenes numbers: $112k ARR, 160k downloads.

They also make an additional $1k/week in ad revenue.

Lotanna hasn’t mentioned an asking price but looks like he’s expecting something closer to 3x ARR.

Matt made $200k in 163 days

Matt made $200k revenue in 163 days with his “tiny” startup Reelfarm (shared above). Reelfarm helps you automate TikToks that drive traffic to your website. Or as the website describes it: “it's like a gen z marketing team, but way cheaper”.

I think this idea is fascinating and Matt’s execution has been on point. I wouldn’t be surprised if they doubled their revenue in the near future.

Genius marketing idea

Earlier in May Antoine Minoux (Co-founder of Fernand) dressed up like a 1960s French postman and handed out over 1,000 letters to attendees of a massive digital marketing conference happening in Paris. A super unique way of reaching their target audience — Guerrilla Marketing FTW.

Would love to find out the juicy details around sign-ups & conversions from this. Though I suspect brand building, social mentions and WOM was the primary objective here.
