TWITS #68

Yooo, it’s Jaisal. Welcome back to This Week in Tiny Startups #68.

My apologies for being a day late in sending this. Traveling is exhausting and I’m super unproductive without my routines. I’m not sure how digital nomads do this regularly.

Launchpad 🚀

We’ve got some kick-ass founders launching their projects on Tiny Startups this week. Check it out and support your favourites!

A tiny update

Tiny Startups has been cooking hard. Ben from Lorelight says he got over 4x more traffic from Tiny Startups than big boy Product Hunt.

I’ve also been in touch with other makers who’ve seen a ton more traffic coming from Tiny Startups than all the other smaller “launch platforms” combined. This is all down to you guys — thank you! I couldn’t have done it without your support.

Val is selling BlogMaker

Val is looking to sell BlogMaker, a cool no-code solution that helps you build an SEO optimised blog within minutes. His asking price is $48,795 or around 3x ARR. Could be a cool opportunity for one of you — feel free to DM him if interested.

Joschua recently crossed €500 MRR

Joschua runs Postel along with Robin. It’s an AI powered content app that promises to help you write authentic 𝕏 posts in seconds. Kinda like an AI powered ghostwriter.

Damon finally hit $1M with PDF AI

PDF.ai is a “GPT wrapper” that allows you to chat with any PDF document. Although the revenue took a big jump during the early days of GPT and AI penetration, looks like it’s currently on a massive downward trend. I’m wondering if many other GPT wrappers are facing a similar trend, or if this is a one-off exception?

Still, I’d be very keen to see how/if Damon turns this around. He’s a veteran founder and not someone you should underestimate.

Rork crossed $1M ARR in just 3 months

Rork (shared above) is an insanely cool website that lets you “vibe code” any mobile app within seconds. Just enter a prompt* and it builds a complete, cross-platform mobile apps using AI and React Native. Anyone who’s vibe coded before knows that it’s never truly that simple but this does help remove a ton of barriers to getting a mobile app MVP off the ground.

I’m excited to play around with this and will report back.

Such a bad take from a VC

I whole-heartedly agree with Alex. This is an incredibly poor take from Ruslan. When did we go from supporting founders to making fun of them for being tiny? Anyone who’s built something knows how hard it can be to grow a product. VCs can be particularly harsh. Every founder deserves respect.

Scira won #1 Product of the Week

Scira is a minimalistic AI-powered search engine & open-source alternative to Perplexity that helps you find information on the internet.

They launched on Tiny Startups last week and ended #1 Product of the Week! I’m super happy for Zaid and can’t wait to see him 10x this.

I’ve recently started reading For Starters, an incredibly fun & inspiring newsletter by my friend Daniel that shares “real stories & sharp ideas for starting a small business”.
