TWITS #71
Yooo, it’s Jaisal. Welcome back to This Week in Tiny Startups #71.
I’ve spent the last week at a surf camp in beautiful Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 and it’s been an incredible experience. If you’re thinking of learning how to surf I’d highly recommend it.

Yoni made $10.1k in June with Brainrot
Brainrot (shared above) is a “stupid simple” app that helps you block out other distractions and control your screen time. It also tracks your brainrot and shows you exactly what doom-scrolling does to your brain.
Yoni launched Brainrot at the end of May and has already made over $26,000 with it. He shares more details on everything he’s learned here.
Excited to see how far he takes it 🙌
I made $48,327 in June 2025
👨🏻💻 software job: $35.1k
🧠 brainrot: $10.1k
🏡 real estate: $2.8k
🎥 content creation: $1.3k- brainrot did more revenue in the last 5 days of May ($13k) than in all of June ($10.1k)
- really focusing on distribution now. can i grow this app? i think— Yoni Smolyar (@YoniSmolyar)

Job Boardly has been acquired
Job Boardly is no-code job board builder that helps anyone launch, grow, and monetise niche job boards. Although the acquisition amount isn’t public, they’ve been around for over 2 years and claim to have over 800+ customers at the time of the sale.
Massive congrats to Kyle and Jason, and I’m excited to see what Nelson does with it!
Big news to share... Job Boardly has been acquired! 🎉
@jmcharnes and I met as strangers on the internet and started Job Boardly as a tiny side project. No funding, no team, just two people trying to build something cool and useful.
Two years later, it’s powering hundreds of

Shoutout has been acquired
Kyle wasn’t satisfied with simply selling his SaaS, so looks like he went out and bought another one within a week of his exit!
Shoutout is a simple tool that allows anyone to collect testimonials & publish them on your site. I’ve seen this same SaaS acquired once before by Ramy back in November 2022 (so good it was acquired twice?) but I think it was mostly idle before this recent sale.
Curious to see how Kyle grows it seeing as there’s plenty of competition in the testimonial SaaS space already.
📣 I just acquired a new SaaS: @shoutout_io
It’s the best way to collect & display beautiful testimonials, in minutes. I loved it so much as a user… I bought it!
Now, together with @mityasmusin, we’re the new owners.
Here’s how it all went down 👇
First of all, props to

Hyperping crossed $200k ARR
Hyperping (shared above) is an uptime monitoring SaaS that allows you to create and share beautiful public status pages, and just crossed $200k in ARR.
Officially above the $200k ARR w/ hyperping.com

- working with @nicolasmerouze on strategy, growth, marketing and ads
- recently brought on a developer to help with product
- upgraded from .io to .com
